Further I aspire to perceive the works character and render a special touch to the material after having closely analysed its sound.

I especially put emphasis on the beauty, that certain analogue gear adds to the music. It is important to know the characteristics of one's equipment very well to get the right thing out. The same compressor, which put some special openess and air to one song, could have a closing effect on the other material. And sometimes it's suddenly solely the tape machine which adds what the sound has yet lacked of ...

Also time plays an important role. I never master in a rush. I use to sit at one piece until it has gained clearly and distinctly.
